Statement

This piece I began by making patterns I would make in relation to a word. After creating a number of patterns, I took the few I liked best and compiled them into this composition. The creation was one of my more violent as I basically through charcoal and ink at the paper, consequently, the violent process left me with a very delicate piece showing every finger print, shoe mark, and smear, which enhanced the rushed and troubled look.
